Things have been progressing smoothly… we did have a blackout which fried a server, which wasn’t on the UPS, appart from that, things have ran smoothly.

Internet is to be connected next week, Network is up & wireless has been mapped, Security is running.

A Group of members also meet last night for a meeting, and a general clean up. One of our Junior members went around and filmed.

Also keep an eye out on our Tools section under Resources, as we work to document what tools have arrived in the space.

3 big things happened this week.

1) We are insured, so we will start to see a lot of equipment moving in.

2) Scott recorded a fantastic video update of the space

3) Hackaday ran an article about the space – We will defiantly have to keep them up to date.

We also have membership forms, so those wanting to come on board can download the membership form, fill it in and become some of our first members.

Moving in & Cleaning up

We continue to accumulate more furniture, and IT infrastructure.

Our Lounge is setup and looking good, the kitchen now has a Makerspace Fridge chilling drinks.

Scott has successfully installed our Keyless entry, as well as several security cameras which are monitoring every inch of the premise 24/7.

Also a team of Makers have taken to the overgrown courtyard and continue the clear out, to restore it to its former glory.

Fit out is running smoothly, we will soon be moving in some of the machinary equipment.
